The latest Densha de GO!! looks amazing and it's centered around the Yamanote Line in Tokyo, but the simulation element is more streamlined, true to the arcade roots of the series. BVE5/OpenBVE is your best option if you want something more similar to MSTS with a heavy focus on Japanese routes (although some routes can look a bit dated).
